Introduction
These Terms and Conditions set out how we operate and how we work with our clients. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Liability and Property Protection
Igoe Up Ltd holds full Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products Liability, Corporate Liability, Professional Indemnity and Motor Fleet insurance. Copies of certificates are available on request.
We take great care when carrying out all work agreed in the contract. However, the client accepts that Igoe Up Ltd is not responsible for damage where there is clear evidence of previous storm related water ingress or existing issues that were not caused by proven negligence by our team. Clients must take all reasonable steps to protect property not belonging to Igoe Up Ltd. We cannot accept liability for items left on site during the agreed work period.
During extreme weather, some water ingress may be unavoidable.
Health and Safety
Safety always comes first. We complete all work in line with UK regulations and recognised industry good practice. Risk assessments and method statements are available if required. Our health and safety standards are overseen and audited by Perses Ltd. We may pause work if conditions are unsafe.
Weather Conditions and Workmanship
We do not carry out mortar or wet trowel work in wet or frosty weather. If a client asks us to proceed in unsuitable conditions and damage occurs, we will redo the work and charge accordingly.
Mortar Colour Matching
When matching new mortar to existing finishes, we cannot guarantee an exact colour match due to product changes and discontinued materials.
TV Aerials and Sky Dishes
If TV aerials or Sky dishes restrict access, we will remove them when required. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange and pay for refitting by an engineer. We cannot accept responsibility for aerials, dishes, or cables left in place. Clients with concerns should arrange removal before work begins.
Scaffolding
Clients must inform their insurance provider if scaffolding is installed. Only Igoe up Ltd employees or authorised personnel accompanied by Igoe up Ltd staff wearing full PPE may access the scaffold.
Materials Ownership and Payment
All materials remain the property of Igoe Up Ltd until full payment is received.
Rainwater Pipes and Blockages
Rainwater pipes will be cleaned at gutter level and rodded beyond the outlets. If blockages cannot be cleared, additional equipment such as a jetter may be required at extra cost. We will confirm costs before proceeding.
Quotation Validity
Labour estimates are valid for 30 days. Material estimates are valid for 7 days. Acceptance of a quotation confirms agreement to these terms.
Material Price Changes
Material prices can change weekly. We will inform clients of any increases before work begins. Clients may withdraw from the contract if they choose.
Shared Works
For jointly shared projects, one nominated person must take responsibility for full payment.
Deposits and Additional Works
For contracts over £5,000 a 20 percent deposit is required. Additional work will be priced and agreed separately before starting.
Payments for Extended Projects
Projects lasting more than four weeks will require a 20 percent deposit, one interim payment and the final balance on completion.
Final Payment
Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion or within seven days of the invoice.
Late Payment
If payment is late, we may charge administration fees for each overdue reminder. We may also apply interest and recovery costs. Severe weather may affect planned start dates.
Use of Photographs
Clients agree that photographs taken on site may be used for the company website at igoe-up.com. We do not share personal information. We blur identifying details to comply with GDPR. Clients who do not consent should notify us in writing before work begins.
Exclusions
Work excludes repairs for storm damage or issues caused by other contractors on site.
Site Facilities
Unless stated otherwise, we do not provide portable toilets or skips.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when required. Any changes will appear on our website or project documents.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel or postpone work, please contact us as soon as possible. Short notice cancellations may result in charges if access arrangements or preparation have already taken place. If we must postpone due to weather or safety concerns, we will arrange a new date promptly.
