Meet the Founder – Christopher Igoe

Igoe Up Ltd was established in 2021 by Christopher Igoe. The business was built on a foundation of skill, safety, and honest workmanship. With decades of hands-on experience in steeplejacking, rope access, and masonry restoration, Christopher set out to create a company that delivers specialist access solutions. At the same time, he wanted to uphold the personal standards of care and quality he learned throughout his career.

A Lifetime of Industry Experience

Over the years, Christopher worked with some of Scotland’s leading steeplejack and stonemasonry firms. Through this experience, he developed a deep respect for the craftsmanship and precision needed to protect historic and heritage buildings. That same level of care runs through Igoe Up Ltd today. Every project, from industrial chimney maintenance to church spire restoration, is completed with attention to detail and full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Under Christopher’s leadership, the company has grown steadily. Today, we offer a full range of services including steeplejack and rope access, high-level maintenance, surveys and inspections, gutter cleaning, conservation, and restoration. We work across private, commercial, industrial, and heritage properties. By combining traditional methods with modern access techniques, we achieve long-lasting results.

In addition, our secure online portal allows clients to view estimates, invoices, inspection reports, and schedules. Commitment to Community

Christopher is a proud facilitator at Andy’s Man Club, a mental health charity for men. Igoe Up carries the charity’s “It’s Okay to Talk” message on all company vans to encourage open conversation. We have also raised thousands of pounds for Prostate Scotland and other local causes, reflecting the same integrity and care that define our work.
